Abstract:

The Shule River Oasis is located in Dunhuang, Yumen, Guazhou, Jinta and Subei Mongol Autonomous County in Jiuquan, Gansu Province of China. The geo-location of the Shule River Oasis is between 39°27'56"N and 40°24'35"N, 94°09'01"E and 98°10'54"E. The Shule River Oasis consists of 73 oases with a total area of 5,713.53 km² (Albers). The largest oasis covers an area of 2,439.29 km². The rivers that nourish the Shule River oasis are mainly Shule River and its tributaries. The main stream of the Shule River is 813.28 km long. The geo-location of the mountainous part of Shule River catchment is between 38°12′50″N and 40°01′47″N, 94°41′41″E and 98°59′12″E. The area of the mountainous part is 34,853.30 km². The elevation of this part of the catchment was divided into 9 types. The dataset is consisted of (1) boundary data of the Oasis; (2) river system; (3) boundary data of the mountainous part of the catchment; (4) elevation classification data of the mountainous part of the catchment. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 66 data files with data size of 118 MB (compressed into 5 files with 23.8 MB).
