Abstract:

Arthropods constitute a large proportion of biological diversity in wetlands, playing an important role in maintaining ecological function and being useful indicators of wetland environmental conditions. Arthropod community samples were collected in 23 natural and disturbed wetlands in the Sanjiang National Nature Reserve in July 2020. A total of 1825 individuals were collected, belonging to ten orders and 47 families. The dataset result shows that arthropods are proved to be highly sensitive to disturbances and can serve as bioindicators to evaluate the wetland ecosystem health. The dataset includes: (1) location of sample sites; (2) arthropod community composition; and (3) arthropod abundance and diversity indices. The dataset is archived in .xlsx and .shp data formats, and consists of 8 data files with data size of 64.6 KB (Compressed into one file with 26.8 KB). The analysis article based on the dataset has been published at Acta Ecologica Sinica, Vol. 43, No. 9, 2023.
