Abstract:

Panax notoginseng is a commonly used and precious Chinese medicinal herb in China, as well as a geographical indication origin in Yunnan. The Panax notoginseng planting dataset in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province (2022) was developed based on multi-source satellite images including Jilin-1, Beijing-2, Pleiades, ZY series, etc., combined with arable land and garden information in the land survey data, field survey data and historical data. The data shows that the planting area of Wenshan Panax notoginseng in 2022 was about 8,295.75 hm². Spatially, the planting area decreased from southwest to northeast. The dataset is archived in .shp format, and consists of 8 data files with data size of 8.25 MB (Compressed to 1 file, 4.54 MB).
