Abstract:

The Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area was taken as the research area. Based on the statistical yearbook data, the authors developed a comprehensive evaluation model for the transformation and progress level of the development area, which includes industry-, benefit-, innovation-, market-, environment- and factor-driving forces to measure the transformation level of the development area, and used the obstacle model to analyze the obstacle factors affecting the transformation of TEDA. Then the transformation progress and obstacle dataset of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (2005-2019) was obtained. The dataset includes the following data: (1) comprehensive level of TEDA’s transformation development from 2005 to 2019; (2) comparison of obstacle degrees of level-II and level-III indexes of TEDA’s transformation development from 2005 to 2019; (3) annual average of obstacle degrees for the two phases of level-II and level-III indexes of TEDA’s transformation progress during 2005-2013, and 2014-2019. The dataset is archived in one .xlsx file with data size of 21.7 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset will be published in Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, 2024.
