Abstract:

The dataset of high-skilled talents mobility and technological change in emerging countries (1990-2010) was developed by analyzing the transnational talent mobility dataset and OECD REGPAT database (REGPAT 2021.07). It counts the transnational mobility of inventors at the continental and cross-national scales, as well as the proportion of radical innovative patents. This dataset includes: (1) changes in the international mobility of inventors in 1990 and 2010; (2) share of radical patents (%) and national classification; and collected scale of national inventor mobility and by technology category during 1990-2010. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format, and consists of 1 data file with data size of 155 KB. The analysis article based on the dataset has been published in the Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, No. 10, 2024.
