Abstract:
Taking the Baqiao Town of Yangzhong City of Jiangsu Province, one of the developed rural regions in China, as an example, the authors measured the rural social value index using the SolVES model based on the field research carried out in 2022, and obtained the dataset of rural social value index distribution in Baqiao Town of Yangzhong City. The dataset includes the following data: (1) geog-location of the town; (2) the spatial distribution of value indexes for aesthetic, recreational, economic, cultural, future, historical and comprehensive values; (3) the maximum value index and spatial clustering characteristics of various social values; (4) the contribution rate of environmental variables to the spatial distribution pattern of social value index; and (5) the average social value index of each land use type. The dataset is archived in .shp, .tif and .xls formats, and consists of 49 data files with data size of 31.9 MB (Compressed into one file with 1.08 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published in the Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, No. 10, 2024.
