Abstract：

The Zhenba County is located in the southern part of Shaanxi Province and the northern subtropical region of China. It is in the hinterland of Daba Mountains and eastern part of Micang Mountain. Most areas of the county is located at 1000-2500 meters above sea level, which accounts for 68.86% of total area of the county. Zhenba bacon has a long history in more than two thousands of years with its origin and the unique technology, which is a Geographical Indication protected product in China, which plays an irreplaceable role in inheriting the traditional bacon of Zhenba people and promoting rural revitalization. The GIES case on Zhenba bacon covers three townships in Zhenba County, they are Jingyang, Xiaoyang, and Yangjiahe townships. The dataset includes: (1) boundary data of the case area; (2) physical geographical factors (climate, soil, water and vegetation index); (3) heavy metal residues of crops and wild plants used in pig breeding, and classification and efficacy of wild plants in pig breeding; (4) quality and nutrition data of Zhenba bacon; (5) socioeconomic and management data, including population, GDP and management standards; (6) in situ photos. The dataset is archived in .shp, .tif, .xlsx, and .jpg formats, and consists of 59 data files with data size of 118 MB (Compressed into one file with 56.3 MB).
