Abstract:

In order to understand how and why the macrophyte species Potamogeton maackianus changes, author collected the Potamogeton maackianus dada in July 2008 in Niushan Lake, an example of the plain lakes, and July 2009 in Erhai Lake, an example of the plateau lakes. Five nested ecological scales for the data collection were identified. They are landscape scale (lake level), transect scale, Plot scale, quadrat scale and individual traits scale. Data consisted of 11 items from 2 lakes, 7 transects, 47 plots, 141 quadrats and 681 individuals had been collected. The attribute data items include strain mass、root mass;、stem mass;、leaf mass;、shoot height、Total branch length、Root/shoot ratio、Total leaf number、total leaf area; Internode number; and specific leaf area. The data is archived in .shp and .xlsx formats with the comprised data size of 68KB. The analysis paper has been published at the Journal of Lake Sciences, No.3, Vol. 27, 2015.
