Abstract:

The black-necked crane (Grus nigricollis) is the only one migrating crane of the world, which are living at the very high altitudes (2500-5000m) region. It was on the list of the National major protected species of China in 1989, China’s endangered red book in 1996, Endangered Species of CITES in 1997 and IUCN red list of Endangered Species in 2012. Mid of Yarlung Zangbo River is the most important resident region of the black-necked crane in winter. Normally, two land cover types are major areas for back-necked crane in winter, one is the farmland in the low land of the valley, and the other one is the wetland around the river. The photo collection is consisted of 21 photos. These focused on black-necked crane and its habitat environment was made on January 30, 2016 at the Nianmu vellage, Tibat, 50 km east to the Shigatse city. The dataset of the Photo Collection on black-necked crane at Nianmu village, Tibet ( January 30, 2016)consisted of two parts, the geolocation of the photos made and 21 photos. The photo resolution is 5184 x 3888 pixels by Sony DSC-HX300 camera. The dataset is archived at .jpg, .shp and .kmz formats with 153MB.
