Abstract:

Elevation Cluster Dataset Covering the Weihe River Basin (WeiheBasinEVC for short) is a 30-m resolution raster data on land elevation classification in the Weihe River Basin. 8 classes of land elevation clusters are identified from less than 500 meters above sea level to 3934 meters in the Mt. Qinling. The dataset is developed based on ASTER GDEM 2 and integrated partly with SRTM where the former data is not available. By statistics, the land located between 1000-1500 meters above sea level is 56018.21km2 , which occupies 41.58% of the region; the land located between 1500-2000 meters above sea level is 37999.48 km2 , which occupies 28.20% of the region; The area with elevation more than 3500m in the Qinling Mountain only occupies 0.01% of the region. The dataset is archived in tiff format with the compressed data size of 4.43MB.
