Abstract:

The Vegetation Cover Dataset in Mid-Eastern China (2013) was developed based on the MODIS-EVI from 2012-2014. The data covers 13 provinces and metropolises, they are: Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang and Hubei provinces and Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing metropolises from 27*deg9′38″N-42°33′44″N to 105°18′35″E-122°40′41″E. 6 vegetation types were identified, including Evergreen Broad-leaf Forest (EBF), Ever-green Needle-leaf Forest (ENF), Deciduous Broad-leaf Forest (DBF), agricultural crop, Sparse crop, Sparse forest/grass. The dataset is consisted of: (1) boundary of study area; (2) vegetation cover data, with the resolution of 500 m x 500 m. It is archived in .shp and .tif format with the compressed data size of 2.51 MB. The analysis paper was published in the Journal of Ecological Indicators, No.5, Vol.64, 2016.
