Abstract:

Based on the geo-eco regionalization in Asian and Pacific regions, the authors developed the GIS dataset of boundaries among four geo-eco regions of China. The four geo-eco regions of China include the Eastern Monsoon Geo-Eco Region, the NorthWestern Dry Geo-Eco Region, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Geo-Eco Region and the Southern Tropic Islands Geo-Eco Region. The 400mm rainfall line make the differences between the Eastern Monsoon and the Western Dry geo-eco regions, the 16℃ in the January divided the Eastern Monsoon and the Southern Tropic Islands geo-eco regions. The land with the 4000m above sea level and 7 degree in slope make the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to be the roof of the world. The dataset is archived at the .shp and .kmz data formats with the compressed data size of 37.3MB.
