Abstract:
The Afforestation and its carbon budget dataset in the Central Asia (1975_2005) was calculated by data integration and Bookkeeping modeling based on the datasets from UNEP and FAO. According to UNEP report, the survival rate of afforestation saplings is definite as 75% (the mean percentage between 70% and 80%). The wood includes fuelwood, paper and paperboard, timber wood, as well as the man-made wood. The carbon budget was estimated by using a localized bookkeeping model in which more specific modelling parameters were considered. 16 statistics data tables are included in the dataset. They are: (1) vegetation carbon flux from afforestation; (2) vegetation carbon accumulation from afforestation; (3) soil carbon flux from afforestation; (4) soil carbon accumulation from afforestation; (5) carbon flux from afforestation; (6) Carbon accumulation from afforestation; (7) carbon flux from deforestation; (8) soil carbon accumulation from deforestation; (9) carbon flux from deforestation; (10) carbon accumulation from deforestation; (11) afforestation area; (12) production of forest products in Kazakhstan; (13) production of forest products; (14) production of forest products in Tajikistan; (15) production of forest products in Turkmenistan and (16) production of forest products in Uzbekistan. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format with the data size of 54KB. The analysis of the dataset was published in the Journal of Natural Resources, No. 3, Vo. 30, 2015.
