Abstract:

The Landscape Index Sample methodology is used for the land cover dataset accuracy assessment, such as GlobeLand30 (2010) data product. 1000 validation sample plots have been selected, including 135 plots for cultivated land, 142 plots for forestry, 146 plots for grass lands, 116 plots for shrub lands, 62 plots for wetland, 96 plots for water body, 100 plots for artificial land surfaces, and 124 plots for bare land, and 79 plots for permanent snow and ice. The overall accuracy of the GlobeLand30 (2010) is 77.90%. The Validation Plots Dataset for Accuracy Assessment of GlobeLand30 (2010) Covering China Based on the Landscape Shape Index Samples is consisted of the following data files: (1) geolocation and attribute data of 1000 validation plots; (2) cooperation between the validation plots and the GlobeLand30 (2010), including image data in 300m X 300m scale from Google earth. The dataset was consisted of 18 data files, archived in .shp, .kmz and .xls data formats with the data size of 90.2 MB (2 compressed data files with the data size of 88.4MB).
