Abstract：
Tuosu Lake, which means “ghee lake” in Mongolian, is one of the sister lakes of Keluke Lake - Tuosu Lake (also called “Dalian Lake” and “Lianhu Lake”) in the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai province, China. Tuosu Lake is located at the south side of Keluke Lake and is a medium saltwater lake. It is a tail lake of the Bayin River in the Chaidamu Basin, located at the southern foot of Zongwulong Mountain in the northeast of Qaidam Basin, Delingha city, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Qinghai province. Its geo-location is between 37°4′18″N and 37°12′59″N, 96°50′42″E and 97°2′23″E. Tuosu Lake is approximately triangular in shape, with an area of 151.02 km² and the shoreline of 96.08 km long. There are 14 islands in the lake. Among them, the largest island is 4.49 km², and the shoreline is 13.28 km, while the smallest island is 63.29 m², and the shoreline is 30.86 m. The lake is in desert and semi-desert arid climate region with annual average temperature is about 3.7 ℃, sunshine of 3,182 hours, annual precipitation of 160 mm, and annual evaporation of 2,400 mm. The lake mainly depends on the discharge of Keluke Lake. The dataset is developed based on Google Earth (2015) and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 22 data files with data size of 1.52 MB (Compressed to two data files with data size of 548 KB).
