Abstract：

Climate comfortable period (CCP) is a temporal index evaluating the climate comfortableness or human thermal comfortableness. It is of significance to the human life, public health, tourism activities, as well as architectural design etc. Based on the daily meteorological records, including temperature, wind speed, humidity, sunshine hours, from 775 weather stations in the mainland of China from 1961 to 2010, which is provided by China Meteorological Science Data Sharing Service Network. By integrating the Temperature Humidity Index (THI) and Wind Effect Index (WEI) and modifies them to estimate the climate comfortableness period in the mainland of China from 1961-2010. The dataset is consisted of: (1) the annual average Climate comfortable period of provinces from 1961 to 2010; (2) the annual average Climate comfortable period of prefecture level cities from 1961 to 2010; (3) the coordinates of 775 sites, the annual average Climate comfortable period from 1961 to 2010, and the difference of annual average Climate comfortable period between 1961-1985 and 1986-2010. The data are archived in .xlsx data format. The compressed data size is 87.5KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at the Journal of Geographical Research, No. 11, Vol. 35, 2016.
