Abstract:

The earthquake emergency evacuation sites are an important part of the urban public safety and emergency management system. Based on the statistical information of 180 earthquake emergency shelters released by the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau, the team used the geocoding interface of internet map services to extract and verified the geographic coordinates of each shelter, then developed the spatial distribution dataset of 180 earthquake emergency shelters in Beijing. The dataset includes information such as the name, scope/address, type and total area of each shelter. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx format, and consists of 9 data files with data size of 333 KB (compressed into one file with 47.9 KB).
