Abstract:

Eritrean Oasis is located in northeastern Africa, bordering the Red Sea. Its geolocation is between 12°44′39″N and 16°46'16″N, 36°26′56″E and 43°04′32″E. It consists of 14 individual oases; they are Baraka River Oasis, Mereb River Oasis and Massawa Oasis, etc. The total area of the Eritrean Oasis is 2,228.50 km² (Albers). Among them, the Baraka River Oasis is the largest one with an area of 897.93 km². The dataset was developed based on Google Earth 2020 imagery and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 28.7 MB (Compressed into 2 files with 11.9 MB).
