Abstract：

Tarim River Main Stream Oasis is located in Tarim Basin, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. The geo-location of Tarim River Main Stream Oasis is 39°36'18"N - 41°43'16"N, 81°41'56"E - 88°28'08"E. The area of Tarim River Main Stream Oasis is 19,847.55 km² based on the Albers projection, and its perimeter is 4,547.18 km based on the Lambert projection. The oasis involves 8 counties in 3 prefectures (Autonomous prefectures, Municipalities), with 63.51% in Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture (In Yuli, Luntai, Ruoqiang and Korla, the oasis area accounts for 35.75%, 19.57%, 5.19% and 3.00% respectively); with 36.16% in Aksu (In Shaya, Kuqa and Xinhe, the oasis area accounts for 25.8%, 10.2% and 0.16% respectively); and with 0.33% in Alaer. The dataset was developed based on Google earth images in 2019. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with 26.6 MB (compressed into one single file with 17.4 MB).
