Abstract：

With the continuous advancement on ecotourism and farmers' livelihood in nature reserves, the authors selected 18 villages around Lushan National Nature Reserve in Jiangxi Province of China as study area. The survey is conducted from August to September in 2022. In order to explore the influencing mechanism of farmers' livelihood strategy change intention around the nature reserve, questionnaire survey and structural equation model analysis were used to obtain the dataset of tourism cognition and livelihood strategy change intention from 18 villages in Lushan National Nature Reserve of Jiangxi Province. The dataset includes: (1) geolocation of 18 villages and questionnaire distribution data; (2) questionnaire for farmers in Lushan National Nature Reserve used in the survey; (3) surveyed data on farmers in Lushan National Nature Reserve; (4) the basic data table of surveyed farmers' cognition and livelihood strategy change intention; (5) influence path analysis results of surveyed farmers' cognition and livelihood strategy change intention. The dataset is archived in .xlsx format, and consists of 8 data files with data size of 44.9 KB (Compressed to one single file with 41 KB). The analysis paper based on the dataset has been published in Journal of Arid Land Resources and Environment, Vol. 37, No. 7, 2023.
