Abstract：

Development Zones (DZs) are the core space tools for China's economic and industrial layout and play a key role in supporting long-term economic growth. Based on the catalog of China Development Zones in 2006 and 2018 published by the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments, and relevant government and news materials, the DZs’ location, scale, type and change were identified to obtain the Dataset of National and Provincial Levels Development Zones in China (2006-2018) (There is no data in Hong kong, Macao and Taiwan). This dataset includes the following data of national and provincial DZs in China during 2006-2018: (1) location data; (2) attribute data, including the name, approved year, area, level, type, state and established year, etc. The dataset is archived in .xlsx and .shp data formats, and consists of 9 data files with data size of 10.9 MB (compressed to one file with 444 KB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at the Journal of Natural Resources, Vol. 35, No. 9, 2020.Browse
