Abstract:
The Bitra Island, also called Bitra Atoll, is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is the northwestern island of Aminidivi Islands. Its geo-location is 11°35′45″N-11°36′2″N, 72°11′3″E-72°11′21″E. It is separated from the Peremul Par Island 45 km at its southwest, from the Chetlat Island 57 km at its northeast. Most area of the coral atoll is reef and lagoon. The area of the Bitra Island is 0.17 km², and the coastline is 1.74 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 27.0 KB (Compressed to 11.4 KB in two files).
