Abstract:
Tashkurgan River Basin is located in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County and Aketao County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The geo-location of the Tashkurgan River Basin is between 36°42′58″N and 38°17′2″N, 74°26′43″E and 74°26′43″E. The basin covers an area of 11,551.06 km² (Albers). The elevation of the Basin was divided into 11 types. The Tashkurgan River and its tributaries are the main source of water nourishing the Tashkurgan River oasis. The length of the Tashkurgan River is 272.60 km (Lambert). The Tashkurgan River Oasis is in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County. Its geo-location is between 37°4'58"N and 38°12'4"N, 74°54'47"E and 75°40'42"E. The oasis consists of 34 dispersed oases with a total area of 416.63 km², which covers 3.61 percent of the basin area. The largest oasis covers an area of 281.18 km², which is 67.49 percent of the total oasis area. The dataset is consisted of (1) boundary data of the oasis; (2) the rivers and lakes; (3) boundary data of the Catchment; (4) elevation classification data of the catchment. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 66 data files with data size of 111 MB (compressed into 5 files with 8.49 MB).
