Abstract:
Menke Islands, a group of small islands in the Arctic Ocean, is located between the Barents Sea and the Greenland Sea; it is part of the Thousand Islands in Norway. Its geolocation is between 77°8′9″N and 77°11′5″N,22°42′16″E and 22°56′32″E. The Menke Islands consists of 29 islands (Area of the smallest one is 71m²), including Alka Islet, Blamaken Islet, Gassen Islet, Havella Islet, Islomen Islet and Teisten Islet. The total area of the Menke Islands is 3.06km² the coastline is 32.13km long. The biggest island in the Menke Islands is Havella Islet with an area of 1.41km². The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data format with the compressed data size of 238KB.
