Abstract:
Xi’an was the capital of 13 dynasties of China in thousands of years. It was the starting city of the historical Silk Road, which was the critical path linking Chin and west Asia, as well as Europe. Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, is located in the center of Guanzhong Plain, geolocated between 33。39'00''N-34。45'00''N; 107。24'00''E-109。29'24"E. The total area of the city is 10,096.82 km2. The Dataset on the Xi’an City consists of the spatial data of administrative division in county level, population (2010) and economic (GDP, 2015) in counties and districts, the spatial data of the scenic spots, the meteorological data (mean value of the highest temperature and the lowest temperature and the monthly average precipitation), the altitudes and terrain slope classification data and the artificial land surface data for 2000, 2010 and 2015. The dataset is archived in .xls, .kmz and .shp formats with the compressed data size of 4.87MB.
