Abstract:
The Ottawa Islands located in the eastern of the Canada's Hudson Bay and west of the Ungava Peninsula. The geo-location of the Islands is 80°49′21″W - 79°50′7″W,58°24′28″N - 59°57′51″N. It is part of the Canada Arctic Archipelago and consists of 110 islands and rocks (area of the smallest one is 2088.77m²). The major islands are: Booth Island, Bronson Island, Eddy Island, Gilmour Island, J. Gordon Island, Pattee Island, Farmer Island, Waters Island, House Island and Perley Island。In which, the biggest one is Gilmour Island with an area of 93.20km² and coastline of 67.97km long. The total area of the islands is 257.86km², the coastline is 520.30km long. The uninhabited Ottawa Islands belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is archived in both .kmz and .shp data formats with the compressed data size of 1.93MB.
