Abstract:
The Sleeper Islands is located in the eastern of the Canada's Hudson Bay and west of the Ungava Peninsula, south of the Marcopeet Islands, and north of the Split Island. The Sleeper Islands is part of the Belcher Islands and the Canada Arctic Archipelago. The geo-location of the Islands is between 79°55′21″W and 79°41′44″W, 57°15′28″N and 57°40′31″N. The biggest island in the Sleeper Islands is the Kidney Island, which is 50.23 km² in area and 84.85 km in coast line. The total area of the Sleeper Islands is 89.14 km², and the coastline is 433.73 km long. The Sleeper Islands belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files, archived in both .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 5.48 MB.
