The Svalbard Archipelago is located between the Greenland Sea and the Barents Sea in the Arctic Ocean. It is in Norway, and the geo-location is between 74°20′04″N and 80°49′45″N, 10°27′33″E and 33°27′33″E. The Svalbard Archipelago consists of 1497 islands and rocks (area of the smallest is 32 m²), they are Spitsbergen Island, North East Land, Edge Island, Barents Island, Kvit Island, Prins Karls Forland, Kongs Island, Bear Island, Svensk Island, Wilhelm Island, etc. In the islands, Spitsbergen Island is the largest one with an area of 37,356.27 km². The total area of the Svalbard Archipelago is 60,439.47 km², and the coastline is 9,064.72 km long. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images around 2015. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 29.5 MB (Compressed into 2 files with 20.5 MB).
