Abstract:
The Aminidivi Islands is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is part of Lakshadweep archipelago. Its geo-location is 11°6′45″N-11°42′20″N, 72°5′13″E-73°0′39″E. It is separated from the Indian Continent 243 km at its east and from the Laccadive Islands at its south. There are 6 atolls and 2 reefs in the Aminidive Islands, they are: Amini Atoll, Kadmat Atoll, Kiltan Atoll, Chetlat Atoll, Bitra Atoll, Perumal Par Atoll, Byramgore Reef, and Cherbaniani Reef. The total area of the Islands is 9.24 km², and the total coastline is 42.90 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 94.3 KB (Compressed to 40.7 KB in two files).
