Abstract:
The 1 km raster dataset of carbon accounting for land use and forestry in Guangdong Province was developed based on the integration of the stock- difference method and the forest survey data of Guangdong Province (2013-2018), the soil census data (1979-1985) and China's National Soil Information Grid Survey (2010-2018), and land use and land cover data of China (1979, 2018, 2020). The dataset includes: (1) average organic carbon stock per hectare of top soil in Guangdong during 1979-1985, 2010-2018; (2) organic carbon sinks per hectare of top soil in Guangdong in 2018; (3) carbon sinks per hectare of each subcategory of LULUCF in Guangdong in 2018; (4) annual average of biomass carbon sinks and their areas caused by LULUCF in Guangdong from 2018 to 2020; (5) annual average of soil carbon sinks and their areas caused by long-term land use in Guangdong from 1979 to 2018; (6) annual average of carbon sinks caused by LULUCF in Guangdong in 2018; (7) carbon sinks per hectare of the major subcategories of LULUCF in each city of Guangdong in 2018; (8) carbon sinks caused by land use in 2018 for each city of Guangdong. The spatial resolution is 1 km. The dataset is archived in .tif and .xlsx formats, and consists of 63 data files with data size of 4.94 MB (compressed into one single file with 4.48 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset has been published at Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 78, No. 3, 2023.
