Abstract:
The Bangaram Atoll is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is the northwest island of Laccadive Islands. Its geo-location is 10°56′5″N-10°57′32″N, 72°16′58″E-72°20′2″E. It is separated from the Amini Island 45 km at its northeast, from Perumal Par Atoll 31 km at its northwest, and from Agatti Island 11 km at its southwest. There are four islands in the Bangaram Atoll, among which the Bangaram Island is the largest one with area of 0.62 km², the Tinnakara Island are the second largest one with area of 0.51 km². The total area of the Bangaram Atoll is 1.18 km², and the total coastline is 9.40 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 83.2 KB (Compressed to 35.3 KB in two files).
