Abstract：

Based on the invention patent transfer data from the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the authors projected the patent transfers between institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into the urban space where the institutions were located, and summed up the transferred patents of each city-pair formed by 11 cities for the time periods of 2007-2008, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016 and 2017-2018. After that, a directed and weighted technology transfer network of cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was constructed for six time periods. The dataset includes the following data in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area at six time periods: (1) the relationship and volume of intercity invention patent transfer; (2) invention patent transaction volume of cities. The dataset is archived in .xlsx format, and consists of one data file with data size of 16.2 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset will be published in Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, No. 6, 2024.
