Abstract:
Byam Martin Island is located in southern of Queen Elizabeth Islands in the Arctic Ocean. It is in the north of Viscount Melville Sound, 42 km separated from Bathurst Island by the Austin Channel in the northeast, and 27.7 km separated from Melville Island in the west. It belongs to Nunavut Region, Canada. The geo-location of the Byam Martin Island is between 75°1'22"N and 75°26'45"N, 103°34'56"W and 104°54'60"W. The total area of Byam Martin Island is 1170.77 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 175.69 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 16 data files with data size of 913 KB (compressed to two data files with 355 KB).
