Abstract:
The upstream water system of Hotan River refers to the water system composed of Karakash River, Yulongkashi River and their tributaries, which maintains the existence of Hotan oasis. The main stream length of Karakash River and Yulongkashi River is 797.21 km and 554.84 km separately. The boundary dataset was developed based on Google Earth images and in local survey data. The geolocation of the mountainous part of Hotan catchment is between 34°50'40" N and 37°11'37" N, 77°23'55" E and 81°40'52" E. The area of it is 40812.80 km² (Albers projection) and its perimeter is 1829.46 km (Lambert projection). The elevation classification dataset of mountainous part of the Hotan Rivers catchment was developed based on the ASTER GDEM 30m data. The regional elevation was divided into 12 types in total. One for lower than1500 m, 11 for above 1500 m at an interval of 500 m. The dataset is consisted of (1) upstream river system of Hotan River; (2) boundary data of the mountainous part of the Hotan Rivers Catchment; (3) elevation classification data. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 32 data files with data size of 34.30 MB (compressed to 3 data files with 23.6 MB).Browse
