Abstract:
Integrating daily precipitation and average temperature from 239 Meiyu monitoring stations over Yangtze-Huai River Basin from 1961 to 2020, the subtropical high pressure ridge location determined by 500 hPa potential height field and the latitude wind field from NCEP/NCAR reanalysis datasets, we identified the Meiyu process over Yangtze-Huai River Basin and its three sub-regions, and calculated the Meiyu characteristics indices at each subregion and each station using the Meiyu Monitoring Indices (GB/T 33671-2017). The dataset includes: (1) boundaries of Yangtze-Huai River Basin and its three sub-regions; (2) general information of Meiyu monitoring stations; (3) Meiyu onset date, ending date, the length of Meiyu season/period, the Meiyu intensity and Meiyu intensity indices from 1961 to 2020 over Yangtze-Huai River basin and its three sub-regions; (4) the amount of precipitation of Meiyu, the number of rainy days in the Meiyu period and the precipitation incidence rate during Meiyu period for 239 Meiyu stations over the Yangtze-Huai River Basin from 1961 to 2020. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx data formats, and consists of 15 data files with data size of 966 KB (Compressed into one single file with 501 KB).
