Abstract:

Zhenba County is located in the southern part of Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province of China. The Michang and Daba Mountains cover main land of the county from northwest to southeast and bridge the Hanjiang and Jialingjiang river systems. The land slope cluster and aspect dataset of Zhenba County was developed using cluster models in slope degree and slope percentage with the ASTER GDEM V003 data covering Zhenba County. The county was divided into seven levels based on slope degree: ≤1°, 1-3°, 3-7°, 7-15°, 15-25°, 25-35°, and >35° six levels based on slope percentage: ≤5%, 5%-10%, 10%-25%, 25%-50%, 50%-70%, and >70%. The results show that 95.32% of the land has a slope of over 7° in Zhenba County, and the land with a slope of over 25° accounts for 46.82% of the total area in the county. Land with a slope of over 25% accounts for 81.90% of the total area of the county. The slope direction are mostly northeast and southwest. The proportion of the land slope direction in northeast is 49.04%, and southwest is 50.96%, which are calculated based on 30m ASTER GDEM V003 data. The dataset is archived in .tif format, and consists of 18 data files with data size of 46.6 MB (Compressed into one file with 4.78 MB).
