Abstract:

The Dataset of Temporal-Spatial Distribution of Lakes in the Eight Deserts of China (2000-2019) was developed based on the global surface water datasets (JRC GSW and GLAD), and the eight deserts in China (Taklimakan Desert, Gurbantunggut Desert, Kumtag Desert, Qaidam Desert, Badain Jaran Desert, Tengger Desert, Ulan Buh Desert, and Hobq Desert). The dataset includes the following data in eight deserts of China during 2000-2019: (1) the water maximum extent of lakes; (2) the permanent water extent of lakes; (3) Number and area of maximum water; (2) Number and area of permanent water. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx data formats, and consists of 321 data files with data size of 32.3 MB (Compressed into one single file with 13.4 MB).Browse
