Abstract:
The five Central Asian countries indicate Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The Irrigation Water Requirement Dataset for Cotton and Winter Wheat in Central Asia under RCP2.6 and RCP4.5 Scenarios (2020-2100) was developed using the crop coefficient method and the reference evapotranspiration method from Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with spatial resolution of 0.5°x0.5°. The dataset include two parts, the vector boundary data of the research area and the irrigation water requirement (IWR) for cotton and winter wheat (the main crops in Central Asia) in five countries from 2020 to 2100, while the latter includes: (1) IWR for cotton under RCP2.6 scenario; (2) IWR for winter wheat under RCP2.6 scenario; (3) IWR for cotton under RCP4.5 scenario; (5) IWR for winter wheat under RCP4.5 scenario. The dataset is archived in .shp and .tiff formats in 332 data files, with the data size of 5.13 MB (compressed to 2.16 MB in one file).
