Abstract:

According to the similarity of industrial activities in 2012 in Henan Province of China, 19 industries were identified which were integrated from 42 categories. The data of water resource and energy consumptions in each of the 19 industries were calculated. Then the carbon and water footprints of each industry were stimulated by the input-output analysis model. Finally, the footprint efficiency is represented by GDP. The results show that the agricultural water footprint is the largest, which is 2333 times of the water footprint of lumbering. The carbon footprint of extractive industry is the largest, which is 273 times of food industry. The dataset includes the following data of Henan Province of China in 2012: (1) Carbon and water footprints of 19 industries; (2) Carbon and water footprint efficiencies of 19 industries; (3) Per unit carbon emission and water consumption coefficient of different industries. The dataset was archived in one excel file (.xlsx) with a data size of 16.3 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published in Journal of Natural Resources, Vol.34, No.1, 2019.
