Abstract:
The Ya Kwang Geographical Institute (Ya Guang Yu Di Xue She) published a Map of East Indies in 1948. The authors of the map were Mr. JIN Lihuang and Mr. JIN Lihui. The scale of the map is 1:6,000,000. There was a boundary U line in the South China Sea. Based on the Map of East Indies archived by the Division of Maps, Library of Congress Purchase, Purchase Order NO. 9541G, 29 Aug. 1948, the digital U line in .shp format was developed. Because of the differences between the Map in 1:6,000,000 and digital vector data, they are not very matching in all scales. The dataset is archived in .shp and .kmz data formats for vector data and .tiff data format for the scanned map in 300 dpi, and consists of 10 data files with data size of 280 MB (Compressed to three files with 280 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at Chinese Science Bulletin, Vol. 64, No. 23, 2019.
