Abstract:
Terminal lakes in the Heihe River Basin include East Juyan Lake, West Juyan Lake, Swan Lake, Monong Lake, Xiala Lake and Bage Lake. Monthly dataset of spatial distribution and water evaporation of terminal lakes in Heihe River Basin (2000–2017) is developed based on the time-series (2000-2017) Landsat TM/ETM/OLI data, band ratio method and local empirical formula of evaporation. The data result shows that vital recovery of lakes occurred two years after the implementation of the project, and the total lake area increased. The dataset includes: (1) monthly boundary data of lakes from August 2002 to December 2017 (There is no data for dry lakes or low data quality of images from January 2000 to July 2002, September and November of 2002, April, June to August of 2003, July to August of 2004); (2) monthly lake area and water evaporation during 2000–2017. The dataset is archived in. shp and. xlsx formats, consisting of 1417 files with the data size of 3.48 MB (compressed to 1.79 MB in one file). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at Remote Sensing, Vol 11, No.10, 2019.
