Abstract:
Kolar Fragrant Pear Case on Kongque River Oasis was listed on the Geographical Indications Environment & Sustainability (GIES Case No.14), which is part of Innovation China program. By open science technology, the video shows the ecosystem and the socio-economic development of the fragrant pear plantation in Awati town, Kolar city, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. The paddy field area was 3x104 hectares in the town. The case area is located in the Kongque (Peacock) River oasis, which has hot summer and cold winter, scarce precipitation and strong evaporation. The irrigation water comes from the melting water of mountain glaciers. The soil and water environments are pollution-free, and meet the standards of China and EU. Awati town in Kolar City established pear plantation automatic observation station and water and fertilizer integration management system, can record and manage meteorological, moisture and other parameters. The pear products from the case area can be retrieved by Quick Response Code (QR Code), as well as DOI registration identifier. The video is archived in .mov and .mp4 formats, it takes 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
