Abstract:
Alderney Island is a British Royal possession, located at the English Channel. It is the third largest island in the Channel Islands. It is 29.47 km separated from the Guernsey Island in its southwest, and 48.92 km separated from the Jersey Island in its south. The geo-location of the Alderney Island is between 49°42′3″N and 49°43′58″N, 2°14′4″W and 2°9′30″W. The area of the Alderney Island is 8.68 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 26.19 km long based on the Lambert projection. St Anne, located in the south-central part, is the main town on the island. The dataset includes the boundary data and the main settlement data. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 26 data files with data size of 310 KB (compressed to three data files with 130 KB).
