Abstract:
The Shicheng Archipelago is located in the northern of Huanghai Sea, Zhuanghe of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China. Its geolocation is between 39°25′33″N and 39°33′47″N, 122°55′41″E and 123°34′5″E. It is separated from the mainland 3.2 km in the north and from Dachangshan Dao 35.3 km in the southwest. There are 35 islands and isles in the archipelago, in which, the Shicheng Dao is the biggest one with an area of 31.02 km² and the coastline of 39.98 km. The Dawangjia Dao and Shoulong Dao also have the area larger than 1 km². In particular, Dawangjia Dao has an area of 5.23 km² and coastline of 16.65 km, while Shoulong Dao has an area of 1.17 km² and coastline of 8.12 km. Other main islands are Changtuozi, Jingtuozi, Caotuozi, Yuanbaotuozi, and Xiaowangjia Dao. The total area of Shicheng Archipelago is 38.65 km² and the coastline is 88.35 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in .kmz and .shp formats with data size of 373 KB (compressed to 150 KB in two files).
