The yearly evapotranspiration dataset in the Yellow River source region (2000-2014) covers 16 counties in the Yellow River source region, they are Qumalai, Maduo, Dari, Jiuzhi, Gande, Maqin, Xinghai, Tongde, Gonghe, Guinan, Zeku and Henan Mongolian Autonomous County of Qinghai Province; Maqu of Gansu Province; Aba, Hongyuan and Ruoergai of Sichuan Province. The dataset was developed based on the monthly evapotranspiration (ET) products of MODIS 16A2 in 1 km pixels from 2000 to 2014 and related references. This dataset is consisted of: (1) boundary data of the study area in .shp data format; (2) the yearly and mean ET data from 2000 to 2014 in .tif data format in 1 km pixels; (3) spatial multi-year average seasonally ET data in .tif format in 1 km pixels; (4) statistics of monthly evaporation from 2000 to 2014 in .xlsx data format. The dataset is archived in 88 data files with data size of 30.3 MB (Compressed to one single file with data size of 5.37 MB). The analysis paper was published at Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 73, No. 11, 2018.
