The NCEP, ECMWF and MERRA data Based Global Mountain Torque Reanalysis Dataset (1979-2012) was developed based on the NCEP (National Centers for Environmental Prediction), ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) and MERRA (The Modem Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications) and the method of Huang (1999). There are two parts in this dataset. (1) The mountain torque anomaly in Eurasian, South America and North America from 1979 to 2012 and (2) The spatial distribution of mountain torque in 1979-2012 average. The spatial resolution for NCEP is T62 Gaussian grids (192 x 94), for ECMWF is 0.75° x 0.75° average grids (480 x 241), for MERRA is (2/3)° x (1/2)° average grids (540 x 361). The dataset was archived in .xlsx, .grd and .nc data formats and in 7 data files with data size of 2.53 MB (Compressed to one file with data size of 1.58 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at Acta Meteorologica Sinica, Vol.75, No.3, 2017.
