Abstract:

The dataset of nitrogen flow from the rural residents’ consumption in China (2000-2020) was developed based on statistical data from relevant departments of the Chinese government in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020, integrated with relevant research literature data, and the established nitrogen flow model for rural residents' living consumption. The source and fate of nitrogen consumption by rural residents in China was calculated, and the environmental effects of active nitrogen loss was evaluated. The dataset includes: (1) nitrogen consumption of food by rural residents in China; (2) nitrogen consumption of industrial daily necessities by rural residents in China; (3) rural household fuel consumption nitrogen in China; (4) data on reactive nitrogen emissions during the consumption process of rural residents in China; (5) the sources and emissions of NH3 volatilization, NOx, and N2O in rural residents’ consumption in China. The dataset is archived in .xlsx format, and consists of one data file with data size of 22 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset has been published in Acta Ecologica Sinica, Vol. 43, No. 12, 2023.
