Abstract:
The research area of the fractional vegetation cover (FVC) dataset within 10 km buffer area along Djakarta-Bandung high speed railway, Indonesia (2017) covers from 6°9′23″S - 7°4′6″S and from 106°47′26″E - 107°47′11″E. Based on the Google Earth Engine cloud platform with integrating the time series of Landsat-8 normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) dataset (2017), the maximum composite method (MVC) and the dimidiate pixel model, fractional vegetation cover dataset within 10 km buffer area along Djakarta-Bandung high speed railway, Indonesia (2017) was developed. The data value ranges between 0 and 1 (no any vegetation to full of vegetation). The dataset shows that the FVC between 0.8-1 is the most with the area of 951.85 km² (36.22% of the total area); the FVC between 0-0.2 (almost no vegetation) is 653.12 km² (24.85%); the FVC is large than 0.4 covers 1917.95 km² (72.97%). The dataset is archived in .tif data format at 30 m resolution with data size of 50.8 MB in three files (Compressed to one single file with data size of 11.8 MB). The report based on the dataset was the Global ecosystems and environment observation analysis research cooperation: regional ecosystem trends along the Belt and Road.
