Abstract:

Solar radiation, temperature and water are indispensable climatic factors for plant growth. They are the key parameters that restrict plant production potential. The data set covers the Belt and Road and their adjacent area, including Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania in 0.25° resolution. Buddyevsky continuous distribution principle was used to estimate plant production potential in the Belt and Road and the surround region. Specifically, MuSyQ (Multi-source data Synergized Quantitative remote sensing production system) radiation products in 2015 were used to calculate the photosynthetically active radiation. In calculating the photosynthetic productive potential, the ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) temperature grid data in 2015 was used to validate the photosynthetic productive potential for the light-temperature potential productivity. Finally, the data was integrated by evaporation data (based on ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis data and remote sensing products) and precipitation data (from Climate Predicton Center Morphing Technique, CMORPH) to get light-temperature-water potential productivity (kg/ha). The result shows that there were several higher regions of plant light-temperature-water production potential in the middle of Africa and islands in the southeast Asia, while it is little in the west of China, Russia, middle and west Asia and north Africa. The dataset was archived in .tif format with the compressed data size of 6.57MB.
