Abstract:
Bely Island is located in the Kara Sea in the Arctic Ocean and north of Eurasian mainland. It is 306.14 km separated from Severny Island in its northwest and 8.88 km separated from the Yamal Peninsula in its south. It is administrated by the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Region, Ural Oblast of Russia. Its geo-location is between 72°59'56"N and 73°28'39"N,69°56'25"E and 71°41'2"E. The total area of the Bely Island is1797.24 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 338.50 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), integrated with maps of Russia. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 15 data files with data size of 229 KB (compressed to two data files with152 KB).
